Although you may not think your current TV is especially lardy, it's inevitable that LCD and plasma technology will become more and more svelte as time goes on. But there are also new technologies that are going to be terribly skinny from day one. OLED, for example, can fit into a case that's significantly shallower than either LCD or plasma. CES: Watch two things at once with DLP

It sounds confusing, but new technology from Texas Instruments brand DLP means you can use one TV to display two totally different signals at the same time. It sounds like witchcraft until you hear about the special glasses. These essentially have an electronic shutter system that blocks out light from the TV 50 percent of the time. This means, using a 120Hz DLP rear-projection TV, you can have two full 1080p signals being viewed by two different people on one TV. CNET.co.uk's Ian Morris investigates.

If you're a TV geek, Sony's announcement that its OLED screens are finally on sale (in the US) will no doubt excite you. If you aren't a TV geek, you'll still love the sheer brilliance of this TV when you eventually see one in the flesh.
