Video View: Santogold, Tiny Masters of Today and Late of the Pier
In this week's episode of Encoded's Video View, we take a look at the latest release from eccentric popster and friend of the stars Santogold, whose video for 'LES Artistes' features a random horse; check in with those wee whippersnappers Tiny Masters of Today, and their new video 'Hologram World', starring zombie parents; and wonder what on earth is going on in Late of the Pier's 'The Bears Are Coming', which takes us on a dark journey into the forest, with badgers and owls and stuff... All, frankly, quite weird.

Hi, I'm Nate Lanxon and this is Encoded's Video View.
The first video we're going to look at today is the latest from eccentric popster and friend of the stars, Santogold.
The video starts off in a fairly unconvincing woodland with what looks like extras from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air performing synchronised dance moves. Also present is a horse, but it is unclear what he's bringing to the table. Cut to the streets and music video people start snuffing it left, right and centre... but HANG ON that's not real blood and guts... it's all special effects! This all proves too much for Mr Horse, who makes a speedy exit.
Anyway, it's out on April 21st, so this is a super sneak preview, and you can check it in full on gorillavsbear.blogspot.com.
Next up is the band that makes the cast of High School Musical look like they need incontinence pants and big bag of Werther's Originals – it's Tiny Masters of Today, and their new video 'Hologram World'.
It all goes down in a zombie-horror style, with the kids splatting the adults and taking over the party, before the freshly zombified olds come back in true Brain Dead fashion and turn the kids into soulless zombies too. Lovely stuff.
Finally, let's finish with Late of the Pier, whose latest single 'The Bears Are Coming' is out on 12-inch on March 10th.
This video was directed by Saam Farahmand, who seems to churn out at least ten indie videos a week. This time there's some weird happenings down in the forest, and on this occasion it's not dogging. There is, however, a cubicle with holes in, and a group of strange men, so there's still cause for concern... oh no, it's okay, it's full of paint and drills. That's a relief.
What is actually going on here? Do you know Mr Owl? He doesn't. I think the best thing to do is just sit back and watch.
Okay, well that's all the weirdness we have time for this week, so take care of your good selves and see you next time.
