Hi, I'm Nate Lanxon, and this, you little rascals, is the Encoded music video show.

First up this week is the debut video from one of 2008's most exciting new bands, Black Kids, whose first single, I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You comes out on April 7th.

Black Kids actually started life as a New Order rip-off band called Mata Hari back home in Florida, and that 80's UK indie sound has stayed with them right through to this single, which clearly owes a debt of gratitude to The Cure.

Chuck in a few cheerleader yelps and a Motown drum beat though, and Black Kids have made a sound which is uniquely theirs, and this video gets it spot on, fusing the days of old England with a shiny, nouveau slap of colour. If this doesn't make you happy, then go and visit a doctor because you're obviously dead inside.

Next up we've got the twin pioneers of electronic preaching and exceptional facial hair, Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip. Here's their new video, Look For The Woman.

While this is nowhere near as catchy and immediate as their breakthrough track Thou Shalt Always Kill, Look For The Woman shows that Dan Le Sac is still one of the illest beatmakers around today, and his beardy buddy Scroob is as astute a lyricist as they come.

The video was directed by long-term collaborator Nick Frew, who worked with the band on their last two videos. It's all about guardian angels, relationships and having tellies for heads.

Go to our music video channel to see Look For The Woman in full.

Last one this week comes from Young Galaxy, whose debut album came out on Arts & Crafts last year.

The video Come And See was directed by fellow French Canadians Felix and Paul, whose other work includes ad campaigns for Adidas and some amazing videos for some French bands which I couldn't possible try and pronounce.

Please don't blow up the moon 50's-looking man – without it the ebb and flow of the tides will be ruined forever, and all the fish will be, like, WTF? LOL.

Righteo, I'll be back with more great videos next week, so until then, goodbile.
