Cloverfield
Lost creator JJ Abrams brings his latest mystery to the big screen with this science-fiction movie surrounded in secrecy. We may not know much about it, but it does seem to include people screaming, some kind of monster from outer space and New York dramatically exploding.

I know some people like to be left guessing at the end of a film. I don?t. Can anyone help me? What was it? Where did it come from? What were the little ones? Did the girl that got bit explode or what? When are they going to finish the film with a proper ending? Etc etc. And don?t even get me started on the shaky camera?

Awesome story but the film was simply ruined because of the shaky camera all the way through. I can?t believe no one pointed that out to the director! Here?s a thought; imagine watching this film on a plain with bad turbulence! Guaranteed puke fest!!

Absolute trash. I read comments about it before i went with a warning about 'motion sickness', and how true that was. Prefer a happy ending! Would certainly NOT recommend this film

Why do people continue to pick on issues of a technical nature....so what if there is an indestructable camera with extended battery and a mobile phone that works under ground....get a grip. So this is unbelievable???? Does that mean that you watch no film unless they can actually happen in reality!!!!

This is without doubt a great film. Someone qoutes below that it is a shame that it is filmed with hand held camera....hello! Go and watch Godzilla if you want boring normal camera work!!!! This is a great film BECAUSE of the way in which it is filmed, it actually made you think that this COULD happen, it was from a first person perspective and so effective. There are many great films out there but this film is staying with me, emotionally because of it got me involved! It is fantastic....camera work does take some getting used to though! It is hard these days to make a film that is different....this does it in every way.

I loved the film! five stars!!.. The hand held camera bit was shakey, yes, but really dramatic! and twinned with the thrilling story line it kept me on edge from start to finish!!.. If u havent already, see this movie!!!!

Oh I am so so thankful I only paid £4.00 to watch this movie. The whole movie was done in shaky vision and after the first few moments became annoying along with ?Oh my god? said over and over again. Not very PC for the atheists watching the movie!
Then we have the phone that works in the subway but not out in the street! I want one of those.
For those thinking of paying good money to watch this film, do yourself a favour and watch the movie review on your computer as you see the start, middle and end.

I get the idea of the hand held camera, not bad; but why did the guy holding the camera have to be the worst actor on the planet?
His idea of acting fear was to repeat "Oh my God" over and over again.

wish they'd filmed it in Swindon. All that monster mayhem and military led destruction would have improved it's appearance, but the casting of the females would have been just ugly..great film, and remember, it is only a film. Some of the reviewers need to get there heads out of their a***s.

Seriously, its literally Blair Witch meets Godzilla, because its first person camera view for the whole film you dont see very much, the trailer has all the best bits, i was shocked and appalled, quite a waste of money going to see it. Good concept/storyline shame it was filmed in this style. Hope Abrams doesnt make a hash of the new star trek!

i saw the film last night. i thought it was great! it took me away the hollywood special effects and it look so realistic. except for the huge scary monster with little monsters coming out of it of course. if the film was made with proper film camera's it would've been boring.

I saw this film last night and believe me, it's worth going to see. Bit of a slow start and the film is only approx 1 hour 30 mins long, but because it's shot from the view of a video camera, you really feel like your there. Storyline is fairly straight forward, but scary! You soon get used to the shaky camera. After the first 15 mins, you don't really notice it. A fairly shocking film. A must see!

I saw Cloverfield on Tuesday with a friend and it has to be one of the worth films I've seen in a very long time if not ever!! It just doesn't go anywhere and the trailer literally shows every single half decent bit of the film. Please don't waste your money seeing this crap!!

It was a briliant movie, although the ending ruins it. Its not even like there could be a sequel, because who would carry the camcorder. It was an amazing film, but a let down at the end. I do think it is worth seeing though. Wobbly camera, why are you complaining? Its suppose to be like that.

Don't bother. Unoriginal, annoying and pointless.
Filmed from an indestructible cam corder with an everlasting battery. If they had filmed it in a more traditional manner it would have been a fun if yet another Godzilla rip off.

Just be aware that you may feel ill watching this - there is a warning in cinema. My daughter and I were REALLY sick, even though I don't suffer with motion sickness....film itself was good visually, bad plot though.

Complete rubbish.Totally unrealistic.Why would anyone film themselves and others while running for their lives! I had to keep looking away from the screen as it made me feel sea sick! Luckily it was an hour or so, but I still feel like I've wasted and hour of my life!

if i was to use one word to describe this film i would say it is astonishing due to the realistic camera work and the way that the film itself does not reveal too much to its audience by creating the film like it was an amateur video. it felt like i was there.

Shaky camera...the supa dupa new way of filming... don't they realize that the majority of the public can't stand this style and it's a real pain to watch... look how transformers was ruined by it in the final 15 mins of the film... sad... when will they open their eyes and admit that the 'I think I'll shoot this in the lovely 'arty shakey style' sucks and it ruins the film... WAKE UP FILM MAKERS! It's time for the public to gang together and stand up for sensible, dare I say, common sense camera work...

well according to sources the movie is phenomenal also you get to see the MONSTERS nearly all the way through the movie and its not just made with a camcorder like some divvi said.Its a heavy cgi flick made to appear to be made with a camcorder and regardless of the hype and shitty comments im going to see it at the cinema anyway and make my own personal judgement cos thats all that counts in my life.Oh and godzilla was a great movie much better than the the reasonable godzilla final wars.

As far as the film goes looks interesting though, i like the POV camera style, makes it more intense like your there with them.

What's wrong with Hollywood? All the investment in camera technology, and you had to shoot a film using a camcorder. Might have worked with the Blair Witch, but sitting through a movie for 2 hours with a shakey picture just gives me travel sickness!!
