Crave TV Sony's PFR-V1 headphones out and about in London

Sony's unusual PFR-V1 headphones are without question one of the most obscure personal audio products we've seen in a long time. They've seen a fair bit of coverage over on CNET.co.uk recently, but we thought we could go one step further and gather the opinions of London's gadget-loving young popinjays on video.

Ever wondered how well a cutting-edge sat-nav would perform against a seasoned black cab driver with the Knowledge? CNET.co.uk's Andrew Lim challenged experienced cabbie Steve McNamara to a race along the winding streets of London town to find out. Andrew had the state-of-the-art TomTom Go 520; Steve had the Knowledge and years of experience. Would Steve's grey matter prevail over modern technology? Watch and find out...

Do you have serious concerns about your personal safety? Taser International has developed an MP3 player with a built-in taser, guaranteed to instantly transform a potential attacker into a writhing, crippled heap on the floor. Don't believe us? See it here - CNET.co.uk's Rory Reid manages to persuade one brave guy to volunteer to be tasered on the show floor at CES in Las Vegas.

Crave TV Apple presents the MacBook Air

Steve Jobs once again had the world hanging off his every word this week as he presented the Apple keynote at Macworld 2008 - and once again he delivered the goods, wooing the crowd with the MacBook Air. Measuring 19.4mm at its thickest end and weighing just 1.36kg, it's Apple's thinnest, lightest laptop yet - small enough to fit into an envelope. He also announced upgrades to the iPhone, the iPod Touch and Apple TV, and launched iTunes movies to rent. Catch CNET.co.uk's highlights here...

Crave TV CES: Kenwood goes to town on a 1956 Chevy Bel Air

CNET.co.uk's Rory Reid was caught drooling over this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and for good reason. It may look pretty standard on the outside, but inside it has a fully motorised dashboard. Hit the button on the key fob, and out pops a tray containing an Xbox 360 controller and an iPod nano. From here, you can enjoy a spot of Halo 3 on the 7-inch in-dash display, or bump some 'choons' through the speakers, which seem to be located in every possible orifice of the car.

Crave TV CES: TV makers strive for skinniest model

Although you may not think your current TV is especially lardy, it's inevitable that LCD and plasma technology will become more and more svelte as time goes on. But there are also new technologies that are going to be terribly skinny from day one. OLED, for example, can fit into a case that's significantly shallower than either LCD or plasma. And while large-screen OLEDs are quite a way off, the technology has got everyone excited - CNET.co.uk's Ian Morris takes a closer look.

Crave TV CES: Watch two things at once with DLP

It sounds confusing, but new technology from Texas Instruments brand DLP means you can use one TV to display two totally different signals at the same time. It sounds like witchcraft until you hear about the special glasses. These essentially have an electronic shutter system that blocks out light from the TV 50 percent of the time. This means, using a 120Hz DLP rear-projection TV, you can have two full 1080p signals being viewed by two different people on one TV. CNET.co.uk's Ian Morris investigates.

Crave TV CES: Zoombak Pet Locator tracks your dog with GPS

For those of you who've suffered the stress of having a pet go missing, here's something that may well appeal - the Zoombak Pet Locator is essentially a GPS unit you strap to your dog's collar. The system will alert you by text message and email when your pet leaves a designated 'safe area', and gives you the location your happy hound has bounded into, all in real time. You can also log on to the Zoombak Web site and see where your pet is, on-demand. CNET.co.uk got a closer look at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Crave TV CES: Sony shows off 11-inch and 27-inch OLED TVs

If you're a TV geek, Sony's announcement that its OLED screens are finally on sale (in the US) will no doubt excite you. If you aren't a TV geek, you'll still love the sheer brilliance of this TV when you eventually see one in the flesh. CNET.co.uk took a look at the 11-inch and 27-inch offerings on the Sony stand at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. They're pretty impressive as you can see...

Crave TV CES: Alienware's bad boy ALX PC and curved display

Alienware wowed CNET.co.uk at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas with not one, but two incredible pieces of technology. First up was its 42-inch Curved Display, which redefines the term widescreen. It's curved like an enormous pair of wrap-around shades -- the idea being that it provides a more immersive gaming experience. And last but not least was the Alienware ALX -- which drew a pretty big crowd because of the sheer outlandishness of its specification and the awesome styling of its new P2 chassis. Take a look for yourself...

We've all been there. No-one likes a dirty house, but no-one wants to do the housework. Time to put an end to those all-too-familiar arguments with iRobot's latest version of the gadgets to take away the pain of cleaning your abode.

The Roomba 560 is a re-designed version of iRobot's robotic cleaner. With better suction and a new design, you simply push a button and watch as it works its way around the floor of your house, changing direction if it hits an obstacle. CNET.co.uk went to see it in action, along with some of iRobots' other clever cleaning devices, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
