The film stars Josh Brolin as a Texan tough guy who runs off with $2m that he finds at the scene of a bungled drug deal it's a western, a thriller and an art-movie rolled into one, and kicks off 2008 in formidable style.

Walk Hard is a spoof of the musical biopic, most notably the Johnny Cash movie Walk The Line, but with elements of Ray, The Rutles and of course This Is Spinal Tap thrown in for good measure. Its the story of Dewey Cox, a good ol' boy from the wrong side of the tracks, and his ascent through the world of country music. John C Reilly gives the character of Dewey far more depth than youd expect, and embraces the chance to make himself looks ridiculous in nearly every scene.

Steve Jobs once again had the world hanging off his every word this week as he presented the Apple keynote at Macworld 2008 and once again he delivered the goods, wooing the crowd with the MacBook Air. Measuring 19.4mm at its thickest end and weighing just 1.36kg, it's Apple's thinnest, lightest laptop yet small enough to fit into an envelope.
